will utep basketball recruits be eligible in 2010?

Coach Floyd said not all the recruits were qualified yet, but they were still working on that. To me, that means they are probably waiting for the NCAA clearing house to approve any credits or summer school classes before they start school in the fall. We won’t know more about the status of these players with regards to their eligibility until later this summer. Hope that helps.

Great job Chris. How impressive is it that CTF signed the recruits he got in such a small time window with only two guys on staff at the time. The future looks real bright! Better yet, it appears that CTF is happy with where he is in life, with the city, with his future here at UTEP and is in total control of what he want’s to do. I’m jazzed for the season to begin.

I couldn’t agree with you more MinerMike… I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again here: We are on the precipice of something special happening here and Floyd is the catalyst. I have no doubt that we will see some of the best basketball in some time here over the next couple of years AND there isn’t a better person to understand our deep history, what it means to the school and the city of El Paso so that can be used as a springboard for what’s to come.

Suffice it to say, I was pumped after speaking with him and I can’t wait for the season to get underway.
