EL PASO, Texas – The school year is over. For UTEP athletics, this means recruiting is in full swing as teams prepare for the 2011 season. And while players are busy preparing in the gym, on the field and on the court, coaches are out looking for the next big Miner star.
UTEP66 looks into the UTEP football recruiting system and how a few changes could improve the Miners’ chance of getting good recruits. 66 also talks to one of the football team’s leaders, Russell Carr, who shares his plan for making this year a successful for the Miners. Gus talks to one of the men’s basketball teams new additions, Jalen Ragland, who tells us why he chose to come to UTEP while Angel presents his findings on the latest football and basketball recruits that may be joining the Miners next year.
Though it may be summer and no team is actually in session, at UTEP, everyone is busy preparing for what the 2011 season will bring.
