The Miner Illustrated Magazine will publish every Wednesday.

EL PASO, Texas – With recruiting on everyone’s mind as of late, this week’s articles in the MI magazine spotlight some successful recruits from the past. UTEP66 highlights one of the football team’s senior leaders, Julio Lopez, while Gus presents an insight to one of the latest additions to the Miner basketball team, Malcolm Moore. Both Lopez and Moore are examples the impact a good recruit can have on a team.

Additionally, this week’s issue showcases some new sections. Starting this week, we are adding a Reader Response portion to the magazine, where your comments on the stories we present in the MI magazine will be printed. We have also included a by the Number section and This Week sidebar; both additions include interesting UTEP athletic facts sure to quench any Miner fans thirst for UTEP trivia.

Finally, we at MI are hosting the Miner Pride T-shirt Contest. Read on in the MI magazine for details on how to participate; this is your opportunity to show your Miner Pride.
