EL PASO, Texas – With only two months until the start of the UTEP football season, couldn’t past by fast enough for Miner fans. So we at MI are doing our best to keep all you UTEP fans abreast with the latest Miner athletic news.

In this issue of the Miner Illustrated magazine, Chris speaks with softball player Camilla Carrera, who suffered a season-ending injury, and now eagerly awaits the start of this season to help lead her team to victory. Gus speaks to another senior athlete eagerly looking forward to the start of the new season, basketball player Gabe McCulley, who will be expected to lead a very young basketball squad to victory on the court.

UTEP66 shares his thoughts on the Miners tough football schedule; particularly the road games that could really have a negative effect on the program as a whole. Meanwhile, Josh explains why he has the “Summertime Blues” and what it is Miner fans should expect out of this year’s football and basketball seasons.

In addition, we have plenty of input from you our readers in the Reader Response section along with some interesting UTEP stats in the by the Numbers section.

As always, we thank you for your continued support of MI and UTEP. Go Miners!
