EL PASO, Texas – After many weeks of work, the Miner Illustrated staff is proud to present to you the 2011 Football Season Preview.
After receiving a number of compliments about our Conference USA Basketball Tournament Preview edition back in March, we immediately began to plan for our next special edition and wouldn’t you know it, football was in our eyesights.
Everyone on staff has taken hours of their lives to research each opponent on UTEP’s schedule and have brought to you concise and detailed information about the match-ups, key players and significant stats.
Not to be forgotten are our two player features. Sal examined all the players on the offensive side of the ball and selected Joe Banyard as he will be shouldering almost all the carries at running back this season and has the potential to be a significant player in the Miners’ success. Chris worked on the other side of the ball and spoke with Horace Miller, a transfer from Louisville who has already made an impact in his short time with UTEP while not even playing a snap.
We hope you enjoy the edition as much as we did putting it together. We work for you, the Miner Maniacs and we will continue to do our best job at bringing you all the information available.
Let’s go Miners!
As always, let us know what you think by shooting us an email at show@minerillustrated.com or responding to one of the posts on our newly re-designed website.

Very good work Gentlemen.
I have been waiting quite awhile for the story on Horace Miller and Miner Illustrated delivered.
Keep it up.
Thanks
GO MINERS!!!
Once again excellent work!! Love the Mag!!
Thanks for the comments and all the support! Make sure you spread the word about MI!
Let me begin by giving you the amount of gratitude and praise that is needed for the best magazine of the year. I have stated before in previous comments and postings of my temporary status here in the El Paso area. Miner Illustrated has been a constant source for positive information and rumors surrounding the UTEP athletic program. This issue is by far the most informative and lengthiest issue yet. Great job and can’t wait for the upcoming season. I have already convinced multiple soldiers in my unit to attend the games and tailgating venues. Thanks for all that you and the staff do, and keep up the great work!
John, thanks for all the support and comments. As I’ve said before, this company is a labor of love and it is our pleasure to bring all the information we can get our hands on!
